Footballer's wife struggles with prison life!
(May 18, 2004. From Ananova.com)
There was a transfer from 'Footballers' Wives' to 'Bad Girls' last night (Monday). Superbitch Tanya Turner has ended up inside Larkhall after someone planted drugs on her. She stepped out of the prison van in high heels and designer handbag but ended up in a dowdy prison issue uniform and had her false fingernails ripped off. Tanya also had a bit of trouble relating to the black inmates, delivering some cringeworthy lines like 'Yo, sister, wassup?' and 'Big up, girlfriend!'

We spoke to Zoe Lucker this morning and she admits that she wasn't too happy about the lines at first: "I did enjoy it but I was cringing through a lot of it - particularly all that stuff where she was giving it 'What's up sister?' and all of that - it was just mortifying."
"I've got to say initially when I read the script I was very nervous about that because I thought 'Oh my God, this isn't how I'd imagine Tanya to cope. But obviously it was a comedy moment. She's so out of touch with how people interact outside her circle. I thought it was great fun to play. I don't know what anybody else made of it."
Welcome to your new home on G wing, Tanya!
(May 7, 2004. By The Huddersfield Daily Examiner)
In a fornight Huddersfield actress Zoe Lucker walks into prison in TV's Bad Girls. Three episodes will be shown in one week when the 30-year-old star appears in the programme as her Footballers' Wives character Tanya Turner. Jailed for possession of class-A drugs, she has got a tough time ahead banged up on the G wing.

Zoe said: "When I was first told of the idea for Tanya to be transferred from Footballers' Wives to Bad Girls I was really excited. "It really interested me how they would write her story once she was behind bars. Not to mention how she would cope without the usual trappings of fame and luxury around her."
"But Tanya is a survivor and used to getting what she wants – so I can't see this changing just because she is in prison."

Viewers will see Tanya make a beeline to form an unlikely friendship with fellow inmate Darlene Cake - but it is soon clear Tanya has another agenda. Zoe said: "It was a lot of fun filming Bad Girls but I must admit I was nervous, it was like starting at a new school. "But all the girls are lovely and I soon felt very at home."

* Zoe Lucker can be seen in Bad Girls on ITV1 on Monday, May 17 at 9pm and on the two following days, at the same time.
